Following the NSA surveillance scandal, the fall of the Safe Harbor agreement, the E.U.'s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and several other developments, questions around control, privacy, and economic value of personal data are leading to new legal frameworks, business models, and technological architectures and protocols.


Tom Stacy

As CTO Tom determines how emerging technologies can be used in the financial industry. At BIG he has overseen a number of projects including the Echo FIVE platform, FIBOT, SMS Live. Tom is part of the team that has been working on using blockchain technology in a credit union environment for the CU Ledger and Sovrin projects. Additionally he has helped map out the overall digital strategy approach at a number of credit unions across the country.

Previous to coming to CU Wallet Tom worked at Wescom Resources Group (WRG). During his 8 years at WRG Tom was integral to the implementation of their mobile banking platform now running at over 200 credit unions. Additionally he was a key member of the innovation group that developed the Tellergy signature pad product and a number of other leading edge technology projects.
